Datz is finished in my eyes. It has been deserted by all the major labels.

They do not reply to emails.

Avoid at all costs so you do not waste your money.

Since writing this post Datz have been in touch to outline their plans for addressing some ofmy complaints about the service and there is some good and bad news.

Firstly regarding signing the other two major labels when I joined Datz I was told that this would be "six weeks" away and now the time frame is stated as before the "end of the year" which is disapointing.

Better news is that the dreadful Internet Explorer based interface is to get an overhaul. Starting with full track names and a better search. This will be followed up by a dedicated application offering such things as the ability to download a complete album.

This is great news and the time scale is in the next six weeks. At which point I will take another look and post my findings.
